Youth Ministry/High School

Calvary Chapel High School Cypress Youth Ministries:

It is our desire to see young people grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We want to give them an opportunity to be used by God and encourage them to serve Him and find His calling for their lives.  We believe God can work in, and through the lives of the youth.  Therefore, we teach them God's Word as the foundation of all absolute truth. 

We also teach them the importance of prayer and total submission to the Holy Spirit. The Youth Ministry at Calvary Chapel is devoted to raising "committed" Christians "for a time such as this" and continuing on all the days of their lives.

Our Focus and Priorities

• Exalting the Lord Jesus Christ in praise and worship.
• Upholding a Christ-centered and purposeful service.
• Teaching the whole counsel of God from the Scriptures alone; pretext upon pretext, verse by verse, and book by book.
• Demonstrating Christian love, unity, and maturity within the group through weekly Bible studies, prayer and share, outings and retreats, short term mission trips and providing many opportunities for involvement and service.
• Equipping all believers to flourish in ministry & encouraging the stirring up of gifts within the body of Christ.
• Exercising discipleship, prayer, holiness, and evangelism as exemplary Christian life styles as well as encouraging the invitation of unsaved friends & family for the opportunity to receive salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Putting people first, not programs, personalities, or policies and stressing the importance for young people to come to God just as they are.
